Going to attempt to get back on a normal schedule today; eat ritalin and adderall and doing coding stuff. Hoping for the best, feel fine right now. Hopefully won't get super sleepy in the middle of the afternoon like I have been

Yea, it is a computer controlled 'on demand' defrost. But from the factory it was full of bugs. It would run a defrost every 30 minutes of accumulated runtime. Which is super annoying. All the techs that I had come out to look at it just shrug and told me 'the computer knows best'. While unemployed back in 2021, I desoldered the 16 bit microcontroller and dumped the code and then reverse engineered it. After two months and nearly 200 hours, I had it working right. There was some initial calibration routines that run after the board is powered up, once I bypassed those with some hard coded values, it has been working fine since.
In the 60+ hours of runtime in the last 7 days, it only ran a defrost 3 times and that was last night because we had freezing rain.
