Went to bed at 12. Woke up at 4:30am. Mad that I have to actually go to work. Lay there for 30 minutes. Get up. :finger:

Wife and kids are gone for the evening and I'm all by myself. Now I have to babysit and that kind of sucks. Even chat gpt is treating me like a nanny.

I hate ChatGPT. Stop injecting bullshit into my answers. Here's a different bot:

And now roasting some coffee. Using the software that came with the roaster. Not sure if I like it but I'll try it out.

Now you have a gay work programming php or whatever. Why not make money on gourmet coffee roasted using state of the art AI (marketing BS of course).

That's kind of already been done. I looked into doing my own roaster shop years ago. Doubt I could really make any more than a few thousand extra a month. Might be a good retirement job

Was going to apply to some different jobs yesterday but ran out of time. Then got woke up at 2am to my son flopping all around in the bed. Then couldn't sleep. Then started having nightmares about doing job interviews and knowing deep down no one should really hire me and the only answer is to just shoot myself. Also not sure if that was a dream or some half-awake panic attack. Plus kept thinking about how f'd my kids are in any future prospects. Feel like a lair by telling them to do good in school, as if that even matters. Although I'm making it, it is only by a hair. Don't see how the future generation will be able to make it at all. :ugh:

Anyway, applied to some weird cyber security job.
Going to apply back at friend finder, and some random perl programmer job for a small shop. :hamp:

The :kazaa: icon makes me laugh. I remember bootlegging all kinds of linux books/pdfs back in 2007 or so and devouring them. Felt like I found out how to beat the system and get to the top. I don't even know how to do that now. All modern development at this point is just google and cut and paste spaghetti. But job interviewers want you to know everything off the top of your head. Doing a coding interview with 20 years of experience plus the extra nervousness just ends up with me forgetting everything and what I write ends up being a mash of javascript, python and perl. Which to them just means I don't know anything :suicide:

Maybe I should just give up on being honest in interviews and figure out a covert way to pipe speech to text to chat gpt and then overlay that stuff on my screen :ugh:

Ok now that is stuck in my head. I guess one way, have two computers: computer 1 and computer 2. Remote desktop into computer 1 from computer 2. Now you can control computer 1 so join into the google meet/zoom meeting and start the interview and share your screen. They will only see the screen from computer 1 and you will now have all of computer 2's desktop to fill up with notes and or chat gpt sessions. You can have a speech to text hotkey on computer two. So then you can repeat their question while transcribing into a chatgpt dialog "oh so you want me to invert a binary search tree using the python programming language?"

Only issue I see is whether the interviewers would be able to see your mouse cursor leaving the screen and/or not moving when it should be :sherlock: Perhaps I could inject it back using xdotool or have a short cut to quickly put the remote desktop into a readonly mode :sherlock:

And then I know in video production, there are hardware devices that can take two hdmi inputs and merge them together at different transparency levels. So I could overlay a chat gpt dialog on my screen that they would never see. hmm :sherlock:

Another issue would be eye contact issues, might be able to get around that by turning the monitor sideways and running it vertically. It is more obvious when someone's eye movements and looking far right/far left. Having everything vertically stacked would just make it seem like I am reading up and down normally
