A management system that be fully configurable through your mobile or computer web interface how to select the power. Not only good for server outages but also you can run your entire house, and keep the horses cozy.

Well I do plan on adding a covered porch to my front yard. And perhaps sticking solar panels on top of that. But that is a year or two away. Also, I've heard those kinds of setups only work when it is sunny. And the power was out at night. Isn't there some kind o crystals that generate power under moonlight? Maybe that will be the next big thing.

That's what the battery bank is for. You charge it when it is sunny and discharge it at will. Also you can charge using the power grid.
